The Smallest Beer Festival to be Held in Paekakariki
The Smallest Beer Festival will be held in Paekakariki on Saturday this weekend. The event, hosted at St Peter’s Hall, will feature four Wellington breweries. 2018 is St Peter’s Hall’s centennial year, and has been used as a community venue since its construction.
The four breweries visiting are Duncan’s in Sheffield Street, Paraparaumu, North End in Waikanae, and Te Aro and Abandoned Brewery from central Wellington.
Along with live music from Paekakariki FM, and screen-printed T-Shirts from Artisan Screen Printing, this isn’t a festival you’re going to want to miss. Tickets are $30, which include a glass and food voucher.
It’s been called the smallest beer festival in the Southern Hemisphere, which shouldn’t be a surprise given its name, but it’s not one to miss. In its first year, and with food supplied by the Salt & Wood Collective, it’s got potential to grow. All four brewers are releasing limited edition beers at the festival, and tickets are going fast.
