Destination Waikanae will be holding their annual Waikanae Easter Market tomorrow, the 31st of March. The event is free entry and runs from 9 am until 2 pm and will be held at Mahara Place. It’s a family-friendly event and a lovely way to celebrate Easter alongside the Waikanae community.
There will be a number of entertainers at the event including City Jazz, Dean Ward, musicians from Zeal, buskers and line dancers. A bouncy castle and giant slide will be up – great fun for the little ones, and there will be over 90 stalls to look at!

While entry for the event is completely free, we do encourage you to bring some money to spend at the event. The money raised this year is going towards a local cause, the Waikanae Volunteer Fire Brigade.
The Waikanae Volunteer Fire Brigade has been running since 1952, where they started out at Waikanae Beach with 34 members. They are now stationed along Te Moana Rd and have been since 1976. The brigade attends about 170-250 calls each year for a number of emergencies including motor accidents, car fires and vegetation fires.
So make sure to come along to this event and to bring your friends and family, a great way to celebrate Easter whilst supporting this local cause.
